Getting caught up

Here's a lot of work from earlier this year. 2010 has been fairly busy between all of the drawing and printmaking shenanigans. I still have a handful of things left to get together, but this is a decent start, right?. : )

"Heart of Gold," acrylic and colored pencil

"Subaquatic Krakken Battle," etching

"Kwazan Cherry Blossoms," engraving

"Marigold," 3-color reduction relief print

"The Sea is a Hungry Dog," acrylic and colored pencil

"The Pumpkin Smiled," colored pencil

Senior show material?

I have been contemplating what I am going to do for my Senior Show in terms of an exhibition. I am also currently working on a collaborative animation project in class for Print Dialogue Day (which is being held at Kennesaw State University this year) using relief block prints made from MDF. Depending on how I like the process, I might be doing something of this nature as a centerpiece for my senior show.

Last March at the Southern Graphic Council Conference, I saw Tromarama's animated print pieces "Happy Hour" (from etchings/engravings) and "Serigala Militia" (from relief) which were super awesome. They're an Indonesian art and music group and their work is fantastic and often really funny as well.

You should check out "Serigala Militia":

Bookplate style relief prints

These are the most recent prints I have done. They are bookplate-style relief prints done with 4" x 6" linoleum blocks, as well as a 2" x 3" resingrave block for the skull.

I'm currently working on an 11" x 14" ukiyo-e style print of a zombie attack which should be done soon. ^_^

Something old...

This was my first *digital* illustration I did on Adobe Illustrator. Everybody loves a space panda!

Let the blogging begin....

Alright! This shiny new blog is for documenting and displaying my current and past projects, as well as other areas of my interests. From sketchbook to finished product, everything will be here. : )
